Ever Been Fired For Being An Expert?

Mr B. Harikrishnan, is a computer expert based in Mumbai, India, and when he heard that the defense in a murder case required the services of an expert in SMS technology, he stepped forward and volunteered his services.
He attended at the murder trial of Pramod Mahajan, and the thrust of his evidence dealt with how, in his opinion, an SMS can be tampered with. His estimated one day demonstration took rather longer than anticipated, and there was also a delay in his taking the witness stand. This resulted in Mr Harikrishnan being at court for over two weeks.
There was a further shock for the expert, when, half way through his testimony he was fired by his employer, a company by the name of Nexus Conex, where he was an applications engineer.
Mr Harikrishnan was later quoted as saying that he didn't hesitate when he heard about the defense request for assistance but he did not expect such a catastrophic result on his career. He maintains that the reason for his dismissal was less about his time spent in court and more about his employers being at odds with his theories. He said that in any event it seemed futile to continue in a place where his views were at variance with those of his bosses. "Even in the future difficulties were bound to arise. However it was a good job and a worthwhile experience. With no future plans, I'll wait and watch till I have a clear picture of things around me. I am technically sound, and therefore hopeful."
